Flight from police briefly locks down Buljan Middle School
Buljan Middle School was briefly on lockdown this morning after a potential burglary suspect ran from Roseville police officers near the campus.
Roseville police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said around 10 a.m. officers received a tip that two men in a vehicle were behaving in a suspicious manner in a residential area not far from Buljan’s location on Hallissy Drive.
The caller believed the suspects might be attempting to commit a burglary. Arriving Roseville officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle and pulled it over, at which point one man was detained as the other fled on foot. Buljan Middle School was put on lockdown as a precaution. However, the suspect’s flight did not last long. He was caught on Castle Hill Court and is now being detained while Roseville police detectives attempt to ascertain further information.
Gunther said neither man has been arrested yet. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
