Roseville High School teacher Valerie Erb was recently named Roseville Rotary’s Teacher of the Year. Erb teaches the Peer Helping program, which helps students deal with bullying, substance abuse, gang activity and more, and encourages an atmosphere of respect on campus.

“Valerie Erb is an outstanding teacher who has made her school and community better through her vision, commitment, hard work and dedication to her students,” said Principal Brad Basham, in a news release.

Rotarians visited the campus to honor Erb and told her students about attending the high school in the 1930s and 1960s. Rotary Club President Michael Reinero talked about the work the Rotary does locally and internationally, and discussed the club’s programs for youth.
