Midgets Granite Bay 0, Oak Ridge 41 The Jr. Grizzlies have lost four games in a row since beating Woodcreek in week three. They sit at the bottom of the division at 1-6. Granite Bay is at Oakmont (2-5) in Week 8. Del Oro 38, Roseville 0 Remaining the only unbeaten team at the Midget level, the Jr. Golden Eagles (7-0) take another shutout. They have been scored on once (against American River). Del Oro’s scoring margin increases to 184-8. Week 8 has Del Oro at Rocklin (4-3). Rocklin 8, Folsom 30 The Jr. Thunder (4-3) stay in the middle of the division after losing in Livermore Park to Folsom (6-1). Rocklin hosts Del Oro (7-0) in week eight. In the Sierra Foothill Division Midgets Whitney 6, Lincoln 12 The Jr. Wildcats (0-5) scored only their second touchdown all season in a close loss to Lincoln (1-4). The Jr. Zebras take their first win before heading to Natomas (1-4) next weekend. Whitney is home to Placer (2-3) next weekend. Also in the SYFC Jr. Midgets Roseville 36, Del Oro 0 The Jr. Tigers stay on top of the division at 6-1 following their flushing of Del Oro (1-6). In Week 8 Roseville has a must win at home against American River (5-2). Rocklin 8, Folsom 30 The Jr. Thunder drop out of first place at 5-2 losing to Folsom (6-1). In week eight they host Del Oro (1-6). Jr. Pee Wee Four-way tie for second place Woodcreek 12, Oakmont 0 Holding their spot near the top the Jr. Timberwolves (5-2) pulled out a critical win against Oakmont (1-6). Week 8 is huge for Woodcreek as they host Antelope (5-2) to determine playoff potential. Granite Bay 13, Oak Ridge 0 Beating Oak Ridge (3-4) the Jr. Grizzlies (5-2) continue their race for the playoffs. Weeks eight and nine have Granite Bay at Oakmont (1-6) then finishing their regular season at home against Roseville (2-5). Mighty Mites Granite Bay and Woodcreek still in the running Granite Bay 0, Oak Ridge 13 Falling to Oak Ridge (6-1) proved monumental for the Jr. Grizzlies (5-2) as it separated them from the top of the division. At Oakmont (2-5) in week eight they look to stay a playoff contender. Woodcreek 26, Oakmont 0 Now tied with Granite Bay at 5-2 the Jr. Timberwolves hope to finish the regular season strong after losing to Roseville by one point (7-6) in week six. Woodcreek needs wins in their next two games against Antelope (4-3) at home and last at Del Oro (2-5).
