A teen who reportedly fell asleep at the wheel crashed through the back of Wachovia Bank Friday morning in Lincoln. Lincoln Police officers were called to the bank on Sterling Parkway just after 6 a.m. and found the teen, a 17-year-old, sitting on the side of the road next to the accident. The vehicle he was driving, a maroon Mitsubishi SUV, had gone through the plate glass window and wall of the bank and came to a rest inside the building. The driver told the police he had fallen asleep at the time of the collision. He complained of minor pain and was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital as a precautionary measure. The bank remained closed pending a safety inspection of the building. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
