Dream Theatre puts on inaugural holiday show
'Hollywood Christmas Jam' features songs, skits performed by adults with disabilities
Students at Dream Theatre Center for the Performing Arts in Roseville delighted audiences with holiday songs and skits during their inaugural Hollywood Christmas Jam. The two-night event Dec. 10 and 11 featured classic Christmas hits. The for-profit Dream Theatre provides adults with disabilities a dramatic arts program and the chance to participate in live productions, such as this one. “They did so good,” said Deputy Director Troy Wheeler. “It was awesome and we are so proud of these guys. They got a standing ovation both nights.” He said about 130 people attended the show each night. Although free, donations were accepted to support the company, which opened in June. ~ Sena Christian ---------- For more clips from the "Hollywood Christmas Jam" and for information about Dream Theatre, visit www.dream-theatre.org.
