Dog killed in Roseville fire
No human injuries reported
The Roseville Fire Department rushed out to an evening structure fire on the 1500 block of Palacio Drive last night, finding smoke fuming from a kitchen. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but later discovered that a dog that lived in the house was a casualty of the incident.
“The initial reports from neighbors were that someone was inside the fire and screaming for help,” Roseville Fire Captain Jeff Carman told the Press Tribune. “It turns out whatever they heard was probably sounds from the dog.”
A careful inspection by the fire department confirmed that none of the residents were home during the emergency.
