Around 9 p.m., a woman was walking her dog in the 300 block of Lincoln Street when she was punched several times by another woman who had a grievance with her. The woman who was committing the assault also allegedly tried to take the victim’s dog away from her. The suspect fled the scene, though Roseville police officers later found her at a boarding hotel on Main Street. They arrested her on charges of battery and robbery. Searching the suspect’s room, the officers said they found methamphetamine and evidence of meth sales. The 33-year-old Roseville woman was also charged with suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale. The police department said the suspect was given flash incarceration jail time for violating the terms of her Post Release Community Supervision.
At 10:15 p.m., Roseville police officers responded to the area of Broad Stripes Way and Amber Waves Way to help the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department look for a suspect who had fled from them on a traffic stop. Sacramento authorities also dispatched a helicopter to search for the suspect. The suspect was eventually taken into custody at 10:30 p.m.
Just before 1:31 p.m., Roseville police officers responded to the report of someone shooting a pellet gun out of a car near Sunrise Avenue and Cirby Way. Officers stopped the suspect car in the area and contacted the two occupants. The driver, a 21-year-old man from Antelope, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, and possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, a 20-year-old male from Roseville, was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin and paraphernalia.
At 3:43 p.m., Roseville police officers responded to a vehicle crashed into a tree on East Roseville Parkway at North Cirby Way. The driver allegedly fled on foot, jumping fences and running through backyards. Several residents helped police search for the suspect by calling dispatch with sightings. The team-work led to an arrest within ten minutes. The 26-year-old man from Roseville was charged with DUI, hit and run, and violation of parole.
Around 1:30 a.m., a woman was getting into her car on Gopher Gulch Alley near Judah Street, when a man grabbed at her from behind. The woman fought to free herself, kicking her assailant and then running away. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 40s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 5 inches tall. He reportedly weighs about 350 pounds. He has a dimple on his chin and a large belly. Police said the suspect was wearing a black zippered hoodie with the hood and paint-spattered light blue jeans. The victim sustained bruises but did not require medical attention.
