Crime log: Armed robbery at convenience store, Copper pipes stolen from shopping center
Information gathered from local police reports. All accused are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
Sometime before 9:30 a.m., someone went into the control room of a shopping center in the 1000 block of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and tampered with copper pipes, causing flooding and water damage. The burglar accessed the control room from an unlocked roof hatch. Copper pipes were stolen from the roof as well.
Between 10 p.m. April 7 and 6 a.m. April 9, someone entered an unoccupied home in the 2000 block of Brixham Drive and took a microwave oven. It’s unknown how the burglar got in.
Between 4 p.m. April 6 and 7:30 a.m. April 9, someone broke into a newly constructed home in the 2100 block of Arlington Drive and took major appliances.
Between 7 p.m. on April 11 and 9 a.m. on April 12, someone stole a gold 1991 Honda Accord from the 2000 block of Monterey Pines Drive. Later that day, a Roseville officer found the stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Blanchard Drive, undamaged.
Between 7:30 and 9 a.m., someone stole a black 1995 Honda Civic four-door sedan from a driveway in the 1300 block of Whitstable Drive. The thieves stole the stereo and other items from the car, then “dumped” it in the 2200 block of Hartland Circle at 9 a.m.
Between 7 p.m. on April 11 and 9:30 a.m. on April 12, someone stole a gold 1993 Honda Accord from the 1800 block of Culverhill Way. The vehicle is still missing.
Between 8 p.m. on April 11 and noon on April 12, an unknown suspect cut down a maple tree in the front yard of a home on Bosbury Court, leaving the tree where it fell.
At 11:34 p.m., a convenience store at 199 Cirby Way was robbed. Two males entered the store, pointed handguns at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. They took cash from the register, tried unsuccessfully to break into the store’s locked office, and then left. No injuries were reported.
At about 5:15 a.m., someone went onto the front porch of a house in the 600 block of Royer Street, cut a lock and stole a bright red 24-inch “Free Agent” BMX racing bike.
Sometime overnight, someone smashed the windows and burglarized a restaurant and a vacant business in the 700 block of Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
