Construction on downtown roundabout to begin in mid-April
Construction for the Oak Street Improvement Project in downtown Roseville, which includes a roundabout, is scheduled to begin in mid-April and continue through most of this year, and the city is warning residents that the work will cause significant traffic delays at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Oak Street.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the entirety of the construction, with intermittent complete road closures, according to a news release.
The majority of the work will be done between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
The project includes a roundabout at the intersection of Oak Street and Washington Boulevard; installation of traffic signals at the corners of Oak and S. Grant, and Oak and Lincoln Streets; streetscape improvements and realignment of Oak Street; and the addition of a right-turn lane on Lincoln Street.
