The Roseville City Council will vote Wednesday, Feb. 6 on selecting a downtown master developer to continue with efforts to spur revitalization in that part of town.

A master developer can provide additional financing and development opportunities for both public- and private-sector projects as envisioned by Roseville’s Downtown Specific Plan, according to a news release. The overall goal is to create a vibrant and exciting downtown.

The city anticipates the master developer would construct several projects in downtown, which could include additional parking, construction of public facilities, streetscape projects and civic and recreation facilities. The developer would also secure tenants for newly finished projects.

The city will consider using the Cordish Companies and the Evergreen Company as the master developer, and as a partnership between the two companies.

The council meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at Civic Center, 311 Vernon St. in Roseville. For more information, visit
