Chew on This: Your picks for best happy hour deals

-A +A

It was a tough day at work, you don’t want to cook dinner and you’re feeling social in a way that doesn’t involve Facebook. Why not eat, drink and be merry at one of our readers’ favorite spots for happy hour (or HH to those in the know).

Tahoe Joes
1905 Taylor Road, Roseville

“Happy hour is every day (even Saturday) from 3-6 p.m. and then again from 9 p.m. until closing. They have $4 wine specials and $3 beer specials and appetizers ranging from $1.99 to $2.99. My favorite appetizer is the railroad shrimp appetizer ... the best battered shrimp I’ve ever tasted served with four to five shrimp alongside crispy wontons, salad and a delicious Asian dressing. They also have a 1/4 lbs. burger served with fries that is an actual meal for $2.99. You can’t beat the prices or the taste!”

Source Global Tapas Restaurant
Quarry Ponds, 5540 Douglas Blvd., No. 110, Granite Bay

“My favorite place to go is Source Tapas. Their HH is every Tuesday-Sunday from 4-6 p.m.! They have sangria and all draft beers for $3 as well as mini tapas for just $2 each. On Wednesdays, they have live music and usually on Thursdays, too!”

Chevys
1919 Douglas Blvd., Roseville

“Happy hour is every day (even Saturdays) from 2-8 p.m. in the cantina.  Chevys is the only restaurant to have these amazing happy hour hours!  They serve $3 draft beers and $3 house margaritas (regular or fruit flavored … even their specialty flavors are offered for happy hour price). They have their most popular appetizers for half price:  chicken flautas, spicy buffalo wings, fajita nachos and my favorite: the Nachos Grande, which is huge and can definitely feed four people. There are so many new restaurants popping up in Roseville but I will continue to go where the food is good with affordable prices!”

Cha-Cha’s Cocina Mexicana
6130 Stanford Ranch Road, Rocklin

“We just enjoyed, again, the super happy hour at Cha-Cha’s.  First, their happy hour is from 3-6 p.m., so you can make it a late munchie lunch/early light dinner.  My husband had a $2 margarita, while I had a $4 glass of chardonnay.  For eats, we shared chicken taqueria street tacos ($2 for two), pesto quesadillas (a whopping $3) and mole nachos (a generous portion for $4).  We are happy hour explorers, and Cha-Cha’s is our absolute favorite!”

Dave & Busters

The Fountains at Roseville, 1174 Roseville Parkway, Roseville

“Dave & Busters Wednesdays 1/2 off games and happy hour 4-7 p.m. Best of both worlds!”
