Residents are invited to a candlelight vigil to remember Gregory De La Campa, a 26-year-old Roseville man who lost his life Aug. 14 — allegedly killed by a drunk driver who was fleeing law enforcement. The vigil will be at Sunday, Aug. 26 at 8:30 p.m. at the corner of Main Street and Washington Boulevard, the location where De La Campa was struck down while on an evening stroll with his wife. In the wake of the incident, locals are teaming up with the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association to help the victim’s family. Mike Hazen of the association said his group is partnering with Roseville resident Erika Wilson to help raise money for De La Campa’s widow. “Help make a difference and let (De La Campa’s) wife know that the Roseville community stands behind her during this time of tragedy,” Hazen wrote in a statement. For more information on Sunday’s candlelight vigil, contact Hazen at (916) 919-3559 or Wilson at (916) 370-1884. Anyone who wants to make a donation can visit or contact Wilson. ~ Scott Thomas Anderson
