A 17-year-old boy was disciplined after bringing marijuana-laced treats and other contraband onto the Oakmont High School campus last week. School officials detained the student, whose name was not released, for allegedly being in possession of marijuana brownies last Tuesday. Officials said they interrupted the boy’s plan of furnishing them to another party in the school’s parking lot at 8:20 a.m. Upon investigation, the boy was found to be in possession of cigars, drug paraphernalia and two knives, according to a police report. Oakmont High’s youth service officer issued the boy a citation for bringing a knife on school grounds; being a minor in possession of tobacco; furnishing marijuana; and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The teen was released to the school – and his parents – to face possible consequences, Police Spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said. ~ Nathan Donato- Weinstein
