Brian Bret, of Roseville, received the Outstanding Alumni Award for the Department of Entomology for 2011-12.
Each year the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences honors one alum from each department who has graduated more than 10 years ago for his or her achievements since graduation.
Distinguished alumni from Virginia Tech recently received outstanding recognition at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumni Awards Reception.
The alumni have distinguished themselves professionally in their careers and have provided exemplary service to the college and university.

They have succeeded in a variety of careers, ranging from entrepreneurs who started their own businesses to governmental relations specialists. Many of these honored graduates also pursued careers in academia.
