Boy Scout Tyler Tate and members of his troop are wrapping gifts to raise money for a public art project in Roseville’s Sculpture Park.

Tyler, 13, is hosting the gift wrapping booth from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 and Friday, Dec. 23 in the alcove on the second floor across from J.C. Penney at Westfield Galleria, 1125 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville.

Proceeds will benefit the Sculpture Park art contest, which is open to fifth graders at any public, private or charter school or who are home schooled within city limits. Students are asked to submit mosaic tile entries using construction paper to Roseville Arts.

The theme is “Nature and Wildlife.” A panel of judges will select 96 winners and the tile installation at the park will take place in spring 2012.

The contest is a partnership between Roseville Arts and the city of Roseville. For more information, visit www.rosevillearts.org.
