Biz Buzz: Counter is out, Jacks is in at The Fountains
As one business leaves, another is quick to take its place at The Fountains at Roseville. The Counter Burger announced Thursday it will soon be vacating its 2,800-square-foot space, most likely in June, according to Fountains general manager Yoncie Griswold.
Taking its place will be Jacks Urban Eats, which already has one location in Roseville on Sierra College Boulevard.
“It’s sad that The Counter made the decision they needed to go,” Griswold said. “But I can’t say enough great things about Jacks. We’re so pleased to have them.”
This will be the eighth location in the region for the expanding Sacramento-based chain, which got its start in Sacramento’s midtown eight years ago.
Griswold said the Fountains location is to be the chain’s flagship restaurant, with a unique look and a “few new twists.”
Griswold speculated the restaurant will open around August or September.
