Bayside hosts open house for families with special needs

Event held in conjunction with National Disability Employment Awareness Month
-A +A
Bayside Church in Granite Bay will host an open house for its special needs program, called “Through the Roof.” The event will include ice cream, games, Erik Carlson — also known as “The Christian magician” — music and more at no cost. Nearly 170 Bayside volunteers serve more than 120 families with special needs, impacting the lives of about 500 people in our region. This makes Bayside’s program the largest special needs ministry in northern California. Everyone in the community with children with disabilities between the ages of two months to 20 years old is invited to come and experience it for themselves. There will be professionally trained and licensed hosts who will ensure a fun and safe evening of fun. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 1.
