Woodcreek begins Little Lady Timberwolves program
-A +A

For those young girls who are looking for an introduction to basketball, Woodcreek High is offering a solution.

With a goal of introducing girls (kindergarten through second grade) to the basic offensive and defensive fundamentals of basketball, while helping them develop enthusiasm for the game, Woodcreek starts its Little Lady Timberwolves Basketball League Jan. 23 at Woodcreek High School.

Four sessions will be held, each lasting a total of 75 minutes (with 45 minutes of instruction and a 30-minute game). Score will not be kept for the game, and the sessions will run on Saturday only.

Players will learn on eight-foot baskets and will be instructed by the staff and players in the Woodcreek program.

The cost is $40 if registered before Jan. 11 and $50 after that, and the first session will be a clinic and evaluation session from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
