Attempted armed robbery on Taylor Road, police catch car-jacking suspect

Around 7 pm., a fast food employee who works on 1800 block of Taylor Road was confronted by an armed robber while leaving work. According to Roseville police, the suspect confronted the victim near the back of the business, using a handgun to demand keys to get inside. The employee did not have keys and the robber fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Roseville police dispatchers received a call around 2 a.m. from a resident on Milan Way who was hearing strange noises outside his house. Police arrived and quickly noticed a suspicious man. The suspect instantly fled, jumping fences and running through backyards in the neighborhood. Surrounding Milan Way and Kenroy Lane, police eventually cornered the suspect, a 43-year-old man from Orangevale. The suspect was arrested on a Sacramento County warrant for carjacking, as well as resisting Roseville police officers. His name has not yet been released.
