Antelope tops Division II in section power ratings

Valley Christian girls fifth in Division VI, boys sixth in Division V

Antelope High School was the top seed in Division II in the first Sac-Joaquin Section boys basketball power ratings of the season, which were released Monday.

The next-highest rankings for Roseville schools belong to the Valley Christian Academy girls, rated fifth in Division VI, and the Valley Christian boys, ranked sixth in Division V.

Other boys ratings include Granite Bay at No. 14 in Division I and Oakmont at No. 15 in Division III. Sierra Foothill League leader Del Oro is seventh in Division II. Roseville is No. 21 and Rocklin No. 33. Woodcreek is 31st in Division I.

The other No. 1 boys seeds are Jesuit in Division I, Foothill in Division III, Modesto Christian in Division IV and Capital Christian in Division V.

Among the girls, Del Oro is No. 7 in Division II, Rocklin No. 14, Antelope No. 15 and Roseville No. 30. Woodcreek is 20th and Granite Bay 32nd in Division I. Oakmont is No. 16 in Division III.

The top seeds are Pleasant Grove in Division I, Stockton-St. Mary’s in Division II, Sacramento in Division III, Colfax in Division IV, Stockton-Brookside Christian in Division V and Victory Christian in Division VI.
