Woodcreek Golf Club launches new event with food, movies

Woodcreek Golf Club in Roseville will host its inaugural Food Truck Cinema on Friday, Sept. 16 at its driving range.

This new outdoor event series combines a live music concert, craft beer garden, wine bar and gourmet food trucks. General admission seating is first-come, first-serve.

The event will feature a number of gourmet food trucks from the Sacramento region, live music and the 1986 film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” a teen comedy starring Matthew Broderick, projected in high definition on a 35-foot screen.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and the movie begins at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the community picnic atmosphere. Guests should bring a lawn chair (6” height limit) or blanket.

Woodcreek Golf Club will also host a second Food Truck Cinema event on Saturday, Oct. 22, featuring the Tom Cruise classic “Top Gun.”

Food trucks will be lined up to serve fresh hot food in close proximity to the Woodcreek driving range, located at 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard. Vendors will include Cousins Maine Lobster, Chando’s Tacos, Dojo Burger and CowTown Creamery. Live music will be provided by Cover Th!s.

Tickets are available online and at 5 p.m. on the day of event. Online cost is $10 for adults ($12 for reserved seats) and $5 for children ($8 reserved). Tickets at the gate are $12 for adults ($15 for reserved) and children’s prices remain the same. Children 5 and under are free.
