The City of Roseville creates events to bring residents outside, one of those being Wee One on Wednesdays.

The Wednesday morning event allows parents, grandparents or caregivers to bring their children to Vernon Town Square for arts and play time. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. May to September and is open to mainly preschool age and toddler children.

There is an area is for smaller children who need a little away space.

While there are chaperones, parents are in charge of deciding where their children go.

“It’s all about parent participation,” said Child Care Site coordinator Vicki Sisneroz.

The event typically draws from 50 to 200 children and the activities change by week. “It’s very free flow,” said Melanie Nett, another Child Care Site coordinator.

Vernon Town Square is located at 311 Vernon St. in Roseville. For more information, call 916-772-7529
