A Rio Linda woman and a 17-year-old juvenile thought they were making a drug sale Tuesday but ended up with a list of criminal charges courtesy of the Roseville Police Department Vice and Narcotics Enforcement Team. Gayla Lucille Huey, 45, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving the juvenile male, also of Rio Linda, to the area of Foothills Boulevard and Baseline Road in Roseville and assisting him as he sold illegal drugs. But the attempted sale was actually part of a department investigation, authorities said. Huey was charged with child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, sale of illegal drugs and conspiracy and was being held on $15,000 bail. The juvenile also was arrested and booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of selling controlled substances and conspiracy. Detectives found cash from the juvenile and approximately 30 ecstasy pills from Huey’s vehicle.
