4-H club fills cookie jars for moms in need
90 jars will go to local mothers, grandmothers
Members of Eureka/Granite Bay 4-H Community Club recently gathered at the Granite Bay Library to assemble cookie jars to benefit disadvantaged caregivers and their young children as part of the Adopt-A-Mom program.
Members filled 90 jars with cookie ingredients and the recipe. They also decorated the jars with fabric and ribbon. Adopt-a-Mom is a ministry that provides “baskets of encouragement” to mothers throughout the year. The jars assembled by the local 4-H club will go to single moms, teen moms, grandmothers raising their grandchildren and wives of deployed soldiers for Mother’s Day.
