I seldom write letters to the editor. However, I am moved to, today. Your editorial is so “right on target” I want to commend and thank you for writing it.
I moved to Roseville 70 years ago and it was definitely a railroad town. I married into an historic agricultural family and have been a Press Tribune reader ever since, sometimes daily, sometimes bi-weekly, and now weekly.
The Press Tribune has always served our community well, but you are right, our history needs to be known. I find that many newcomers are eager to learn about the “good old days.” The leadership at the Historical Society is awesome; thank you for your strong support. Roseville is a wonderful place to live.
