South Placer City Council
South Placer City council races are off and frontrunners have been determined although it’s early to determine winners.
These are initial results, as of 9:03 p.m., from the Placer County Elections Office. Check here for updates, as the Elections Office releases new numbers.
Loomis Town council frontrunner Jan Clark-Crets has a commanding lead over the competition with 449 votes. That’s more than 30 percent of the total vote with nearly half the precincts reporting, according to the Placer County Elections Office. In second with a chance to retain his seat is Jeff Duncan with 381 votes and 26 percent of the vote.
Bill Halldin is in a nice spot for the Rocklin City Council race with 4,464 votes, capturing nearly 40 percent of the total vote reported, according to the Placer County Elections Office. However, only 10 percent of the precincts are reporting.
Jill Gayaldo is in second with nearly 35 percent of the vote at 4,069 votes.
Krista Bernasconi is enjoying a nice lead for Roseville’s City Council race with 8,604 votes and nearly 30 percent of the total vote. Nearly 10 percent of the precincts are being reported. Pauline Roccucci is in a solid second-place with 7,050 votes and almost 23 percent of the vote.
