Placer Theatre Ballet’s “Cinderella” will be performed Saturday and Sunday in Auburn (see Saturday’s listing). “Cinderella” is a fun-filled romp with wonderful characters, colorful costuming, brilliant staging and choreography, and an exciting musical score. Like many other popular PTB productions, this rendition of Cinderella features a lively mix of delightful, disagreeable and downright charming characters who bring humor and wit to a familiar story. The result is a beautiful and engaging fairytale, filled with amusing twists along the way to captivate audience members of all ages. Longtime PTB dancers Ruth Langill and Emily Friesen alternate the roles of Cinderella and the Spring Fairy. Shea Wing, board president of Placer Theatre Ballet, plays the Prince. Dancers from across the region include representatives from Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn, Loomis, Antelope, Folsom, Grass Valley and Colfax.
